Condition to Share Google Ads Account Access During Presales


  1. First we determine if you already have pre-existing PPC relationship (PPC management projects) with us. If yes, then the below conditions will not be applicable:

a) If you do not have any existing PPC projects with us and are in process to get PPC audit report for pre sales purpose then no worries. We can guide you how to do it. You can share the access of the potential client account to agency.optimization@gmail.com. The email ID name is kept general for white labelling purpose. Access can be given of either Read only or Admin access. Ideally we prefer “Admin” access for ease of operations. However we understand why there will be hesitation to give access as “Read only”. Depending on type of access provided, we will advise you of how things will move forward:

i) Read Only: In this case, you will have no issue in creating Audit report and you should get the report ready with “Read only” access with your white labeled brand name. However, when you close the deal and sign up with us for your first plan then we will need to create an MCC (My client center - Please refer FAQs below to understand MCC) on your brand name first. You can create a Google ID (gmail id) on your company name (whichever your preference) and share us the details and we can convert that ID into MCC. We would prefer you create the Gmail id because we want to avoid delays of back and forth over preference and availability. If you wish us to create it then we will do so after you sign up with us with first project. 

In case you already have MCC account, then we will address that question separately. {Refer point b}


ii) Admin Access: Ideally, we would prefer this option as it saves many hassles after first sign up. But we also understand the hesitation of clients/agencies in giving admin access. In case, admin access is given to the above ID then you should have no issue in creating PPC audit report. Once you close the deal for first PPC plan then we can easily create new Google ID on your company name and move the access from the present temporary one to the new one without much back and forth. Again we would prefer that you create the Gmail ID which we can then convert in to MCC. If it is not possible then do inform your project or customer rep. 


b) Already have MCC: If you do not have any PPC projects with us but you already have your own MCC access then: 

i) You can get access (of potential client’s Google Ads account) to your own MCC. You will have to give us  “Read only “ access to your MCC so we can create an Audit report for you.  While requesting to create PPC audit report please also provide Customer ID or Account name so correct report is generated in such case. What is Customer ID? Please refer FAQs. In case the deal is closed and you buy the PPC plan from us then to manage the end client account we will need login credentials of your MCC account. The logins will be needed so we can manage the Google Ads account through your MCC. Also for signed up clients, the client will have to be informed to give admin access to your MCC so we can manage the account.  

 
2.   If you already have PPC project with us then :

You should already have an MCC account with you (either your own or created by us). New Audit report can be created through your MCC account.

Why are we asking this

We need to layout various options before you to choose accordingly, so there is less delays in starting the projects. Once everybody is on same page, then we will able to minimize last minute change or hiccups in starting the project. 

Why we prefer you create Gmail ID?

With the new restrictions in place (by Google) of compulsory sending verification code on mobile numbers it has become difficult. A single mobile number can be used to create at most 5 Google accounts. Having been working with many agencies it has become difficult for us to meet the demand of all agencies to create Google account. From security and transparency point of view it is better that the number used in creating new gmail account (which will be used for MCC) is from the agency side. Also, it takes care of personal preference vs the availability of Gmail Id.

What is a MCC account?

MCC - My Client Center is a Master account which acts as a single login to access the multiple Google Ads account. In this case it will act as one point of access to all your clients Google Ads accounts.

What if I have only 1 client account?

No worries. There is no minimum accounts restrictions. You can still create MCC and link the single account to your MCC account. 

Why create MCC account?

There are multiple reasons:

  1. White Label: Without MCC, our project rep when tries to login to client account the first time then it will send an alert to end client with the location which tried to access the account. This can spook the end client and we don’t want that. Through MCC such situations are totally avoided. 
  2. Access: You will be able to access any of your client account through single login. It is also better way to stay organized.
  3. Gives professional outlook to your agency as having MCC vs having none. Clients get a comfort feeling that they are not the only client and your agency has experience in handling multiple accounts. 

What is Customer ID

Your customer ID is a unique 10 digit number used to identify your Google Ads account. You can also use this number to connect your account with other Google products, such as Google Analytics or Google My Business. For more details, please refer below URL:
